A true story

May 1967: 15,000 Glaswegians set-off on a journey to Portugal.

A pilgrimage to the Estádio Nacional, Lisbon, many from tough working class communities; they walked out of jobs, cashed in savings and sold their homes.

A cavalcade of car, mini-bus, coach, van, motorbike... anything, just to watch one of the greatest events in sporting history.

A group of local boys grew up together within a few miles of their football club and won the European Cup becoming the best football team in the world... The Lisbon Lions.

This is the story of this fairytale event told through the lens of those Glaswegian communities
